We organize groups of 10 people to purchase half a cow directly from a local farmer at wholesale prices. The meat is professionally butchered, packaged, and ready for pickup. This allows you to save money while getting premium Alberta beef without needing a huge freezer.
Each share is 1/10 of a half cow, which is approximately 44 lbs of beef. This includes a mix of steaks, roasts, ground beef, and other standard cuts.
A single share costs $300, which includes processing, packaging, and delivery to the city. We charge a small $20 service fee per share to organize the group buy.
We accept Interac e-Transfers for easy and secure payments. This helps us avoid credit card fees and keeps costs low for everyone
If you can’t pick up on the scheduled date, let us know in advance or you can send a friend or family member. Late pickups may incur cold storage fees.
We work with a standard butcher’s cut list to keep things simple and affordable. Custom cutting is not available, but all portions are evenly distributed.
Not necessarily, One share (44 lbs) fits in a standard fridge freezer. If you’re getting multiple shares, a standard chest freezer is recommended.
Pickup is scheduled at a central location in Calgary once the group order is filled. You’ll receive a notification with pickup details a few days in advance.
Your share will include a variety of premium cuts, such as:
- Steaks (Ribeye, Sirloin, Striploin)
- Roasts (Chuck, Round)
- Ground beef
- Stew meat & soup bones
